Delete your Vefna account

You can delete your Vefna account and everything stored with it at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

In the app

Open Settings, tap Delete account, and confirm. Your account and data are deleted straight away.

Without the app

You don't need to reinstall Vefna. Email vefna.app@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Vefna account", from the email address you sign in with. If you sign in with Google, use your Google account's email address.

We'll delete your account within 30 days and reply to confirm.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can also remove parts of your data in the app and keep your account:

• A book: delete it from your library. The book, its text and its woven pages are removed from our live server straight away.
• Words you know: delete them from your list of known words in the app.

Copies of deleted data remain in our server backups for up to 14 days, as described below.

What's deleted

• Your account and sign-in details.
• Every book you've added, and every woven page.
• Your vocabulary, reading progress and settings.
• Your usage history.

What's kept, and for how long

Copies remain in our server backups for up to 14 days, after which those backups are deleted. Text already sent to an AI service to weave a page is kept by that provider only as described in our privacy policy.
